STOLEN!!!

I am livid!! Some A-HOLE stole my bike trailer that I tote Hannah around in. I had a flat tire on Friday night and so I had to leave my bike on campus. Well when I got here today my trailer was gone. That thing is like $300!!!! I called the police to file a report...not like they are going to find it, but just for the principle of it, and they said that it is very rare that they get those reported as stolen. What jerk would do that???!! I am just so mad right now!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!! It has a rip on top from where I flipped it before (not with Hannah in it) so I will know it if I see it and boy that person will be sorry they took it...if I even run into the bastard.

UPDATE: I found out the theft occurred Friday night b/c one of our faculty was here early Saturday morning and did not see my trailer and he knows my trailer, so at least even if I had got here earlier in the weekend it still would not have helped. Also thank goodness I had enough brains to call my work on Friday and have them remove my helmet & Hannah's from the back so at least that was not stolen...but I am still pissed!!!

Happy Birthday Adam & Happy Mother's Day to Me!

Today is Adam's birthday...although we are not celebrating with him until tomorrow b/c he isn't here very much today due to work and hanging out with the Masons tonight. We already had to give him his gifts yesterday though b/c Hannah already told him all about them. That girl can't keep a secret to save her life! So b/c he already knew all about them, he might as well see them rather then keep hearing about them.

On Saturday night we went out to dinner at Ludy's BBQ in Woodland and they had a live band there. Hannah enjoyed dancing and twirling in her dress.

Here is a picture of me and my girls from that dinner. I am teaching Hannah how to use her finger...she is good at it. :)

For Mother's Day I got flowers to put in a vase and to plant in the garden. I also got lovely cards, a magnet Hannah made at school and coupons from Adam for weekend night out, a weekday night out and a weekend afternoon off that all need to be used by June 30th...so I better get out there and have some fun! :) We also went for a walk around the Arboretum, went to Jamba Juice and had cow ice cream as Hannah calls it...it is actually Ben & Jerry's. When we got home Hannah decided to dress Samantha, herself and I up as princesses...don't we look lovely:

Here we are about 5 seconds later...can you tell Samantha has had enough.

At night the girls both went down easily and to bed before 7pm so I could relax and watch my Amazing Race finale...all in all it was a very nice day.

To close this post here are 2 of my favorite pictures of Samantha so far and a picture of Hannah and a classic grouchy face of hers when you know she is not happy with you:

Happy 100th Post to Me!

Wow! I can't believe I am up to 100 posts! In celebration of my 100th post I would like to announce that Samantha got her first tooth the day after she turned 4 months old last week. Here she is sucking her 2 favorite fingers to sooth her poor little aching gums from those teeth coming in.

In other happy news, Samantha has just now at 4 months started to enjoy the pacifier and not gag on it. I had not tried to give it to her for several months now b/c all she use to do was gag on it but apparently that is over. Bottle feeding it still not going well, she just wants the Mom. Hopefully now that her aversion to gagging on fake nipples is over, tomorrow we will try to give her the same bottle we use to give Hannah and hopefully that will work better then the little infant bottle/nipple we have been giving her so far.

Every Tuesday at school Hannah goes to Music Matt's class where they dance, sing, and learn about a new instrument every week. A couple of weeks ago I went to pick up Hannah and as I walked into the school lobby and there was Hannah learning to play the cello with Music Matt. Apparently he couldn't find her for his group class...well actually the other kids told him Hannah had already gone home, but that is what he gets for listening to 3 & 4 year olds. So b/c she couldn't find her, he gave her a private lesson in the lobby.

I just love this picture.

Samantha is enjoying interacting more and more each day with Hannah. Before she use to just look annoyed when Hannah talked to her or man handle her but now when she sees Hannah she smiles and talks to her. Hannah talks to her too and teaches her important things like when she gets older she will like boys and get married. Amazing the things they learn in school.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!

Hannah's first dentist appointment!!

Hannah had her first dentist appointment yesterday! We were suppose to have it several months ago but she was sick on the day we had it scheduled. So I rescheduled for the next time I went which was last week and low and behold she was sick again! So I finally rescheduled it for yesterday and I had planned on taking her but Samantha got pneumonia and I had to take her to the doctor so Adam took Hannah to the dentist. I made him take the camera and give me the full update.

So Hannah LOVES the dentist! When Adam and Hannah called me after the appointment Hannah was yelling in the background to check out her sparkling teeth. She loved the chair and told me it goes up and down like an elevator and even reclines back! She was thrilled with it. Adam said she also did great during the appointment and had no issues with them cleaning or flossing her teeth. And then of course they gave her a goodie bag and she was thrilled with that. I am so happy she enjoys the dentist and I won't have to fight to take her next time b/c god knows at the age of 3 we have enough battles going on in our house. Here are only 2 pictures (just for you Paul) from yesterday even though Adam took like 10.

Now back to Samantha having pneumonia. She had been sick all week with on and off fevers. I took her to the doctor on Wednesday b/c her cough sounded horrible to me but they said it was just a virus. Then yesterday her fever was back, she was not eating and was pretty much crying all day so back I went and this time they heard something in her lungs. It was late in the afternoon though so I had to go back this morning for a chest x-ray and I am waiting to hear the results of that right now. When I got back from this chest x-ray with Samantha, Hannah's school calls me to tell me that Hannah has a pretty bad splinter and could I come down to remove it b/c removing it is considered minor surgery and they cannot do it! I had to laugh but what could I do, so I had to pack up poor Samantha again and armed with a first aid kit and tweezers we went to do "minor surgery" on Hannah. I got there and it was on her pinky, I had to use a needle to help the skin up first and then pull it up with the tweezers. One of the teachers helped to distract Hannah with a book but she was still crying poor thing. And to top it off like half of the preschool class thought this was great entertainment so they all stood around and watched me perform the "minor surgery". Good times. The fun never stops around here I tell you!

M.I.A.

I know, I know, it has been a while since I have posted. My email was down for about 1 1/2 weeks and then to add to it someone in our house has been sick continually for the last month...gotta love those preschool germs! Currently poor Samantha is on round 2 of being sick...she gives off this very weak and sad cry and I just feel so sorry for her!

But enough sad stories, below are some pictures from Easter with the Bunny the weekend before Easter.

Here is Hannah with her good ol' buddy Gunrock:

Sadly this weird looking cow that looks like it is on drugs is named "Hamburger Patty":

On the actual day of Easter, we laid pretty low, as Samantha was getting sick, Hannah was getting over being sick from the previous week, Adam was getting over pink eye and I was done with everyone, including myself being sick. It was also my dad's b-day on Easter so we had lunch with him and hung out with him in the morning and then in the afternoon Hannah and Alice, our neighbor hunted for eggs in our backyard.

Way too soon!

Last week when I dropped Hannah off at school they were just about ready to start circle time and Hannah said to me in a really excited voice "I want to sit next to Jacob!". With a twinkle in her eye and pure excitement she went running over to him and scooted in right close to him. Jacob of course was totally clueless to Hannah's excitement and to perhaps that fact that she was even sitting next to him and just continued to sit there waiting for circle time to start. With my mom intuition (and that fact that I was once a little girl myself) I thought to myself that Hannah seems to have some feelings for Jacob. That night I told Adam about it after Hannah went to sleep and he kind of just laughed...I don't think he really wanted to believe it.

Then yesterday morning Hannah, Adam and I were all snuggling in bed while Samantha was still sleeping and Hannah proclaimed "Daddy, I really love Jacob!". It came out of no where and she again had that twinkle in her eye. Adam instantly froze (maybe even a few more gray hairs sprouted) and said, "This is way too early to be dealing with this!". And I think he meant too early as in her age and the time of day. :) I instantly said to Adam that I knew she had a thing for Jacob but couldn't believe it either that we are already dealing with this at age 3 1/2!!

Later that day, at a Masonic breakfast Adam owed someone some money and as Hannah saw Adam giving they money to the other man Hannah yells out "Daddy I need some money too!". I think it was all too much for Adam in one day to have Hannah tell him that she loves a boy and needs some money...he didn't look too good. :) I think as Hannah gets older she is really going to give us a run for our money. Should be fun.

Talk, Talk, Talk...

Samantha is quite the chatter box these days. She loves to just sit or lay down and watch you and talk to you. Many times a day I just talk with her...she has no idea what I am saying and I have no idea what she is saying, but we both really enjoy it. :) She knows that when I pause in my conversation to start hers. She says lovely things like "Goo", "Boo", "Uggh", and "Bugoo". Just in the last few days she sometimes gets really excited and squeals in delight...it is really adorable. She also smiles so much during our conversations. But whenever I bust out the camera to take an adorable picture, she freezes up and just stares at the camera. But then I put the camera away and she starts smiling again! Even now, when she is sick - congested and a slight fever - she still is happy to sit and talk to me...I love it. I guess she knows she has some competition with her chatter box older sister so she needs to start practicing talking right now.

Here are some cute pictures from this month:

Samantha is smiling about her lovely new pillow with her initials on it from my very nice friend Kate:

Doesn't she look like real little person here:
